Bristol Water is seeking an experienced Access & Recreation Manager to lead safe, sustainable, and compliant management of public access and recreational activities across our reservoir sites. You will work with environmental specialists, operations teams and external partners to balance accessibility with safety and biodiversity.

Qualifikationen

• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in recreation, leisure, countryside access or outdoor management.
• Proven experience managing public access and recreation on water-based or countryside sites.
• GIS mapping experience.
• Accessibility survey skills.
• Experience working with regulators and statutory bodies.
• Stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills.
• Experience supporting permit, consent or licence application processes.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Aufgaben

• Oversee operational and regulatory activities for public access and recreation across Bristol Water's reservoir estate.
• Develop and deliver Access & Recreation strategy.
• Produce and implement access management plans informed by surveys.
• Support environmental improvement programmes and regulatory commitments.
• Provide public site safety access expertise to operational teams.
• Engage regulators, local authorities and conservation organisations.
• Manage stakeholder relationships including water sports clubs, anglers and local businesses.
• Lead water safety initiatives and public awareness campaigns.
• Oversee inspections, signage, access routes and visitor facilities.
• Manage recreational events and ensure permissions and compliance.
• Support environmental and incident response activities.
• Monitor recreation data and contribute to reporting and improvements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance facilities while protecting assets.
