Job description

Working in our Access Management team, the Engineer will play a major role in our successful Access Management function across the organisation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving improvements to enhance control and reduce risk.

This key role will encompass being a subject matter expert within the Access Management Team and the Society.

We are open to flexible working arrangements to support your performance.

At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working where possible, combining office presence with home working to foster collaboration and flexibility. Regular in-person collaboration is anticipated quarterly at our Swindon office. Further details will be provided upon successful application.

What you'll be doing

You’ll support the Access Management team and stakeholders across the business, contributing to BAU and transformation initiatives, leveraging your influencing skills to align stakeholder understanding and support.

Specifically, you'll work within the Governance and Control team, managing Privileged Access Management processes related to monitoring and reporting, and contribute to transformation activities in these areas.

You will utilize your access management expertise to ensure change initiatives meet standards, support audit processes, and assist in remediating audit findings.

You’ll also participate in an out-of-hours rota to address privileged access issues promptly.

About you
  • Knowledge of Access Control and Privileged Access Management domains, including tools, techniques, and procedures.
  • Understanding of Access Management standards, with experience in process improvement.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders and supporting access management services.
  • Awareness of industry trends and familiarity with access management solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills tailored to varied audiences.
  • Background in Information Security and IT.
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of CyberArk PAM, including Hybrid Environments (On-Prem, AWS, Azure).
