Location: Our office is based near Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. This is an office-based position.

Hours: This is a part-time role, for two days a week, working 8:35am to 5pm with an hours lunch break. We offer other flexible work options, which we're happy to discuss.

What you'll be doing:
  • Working from our rural office location as part of a friendly and supportive team.
  • Being the first point of contact for members of the public, BHS members and stakeholders, providing a welcoming and professional service by phone and email.
  • Offering helpful guidance on access and rights of way enquiries and ensuring queries reach the right person when specialist support is needed.

  • Handling every enquiry yourself; you'll be part of a supportive team and will refer specialist enquiries to colleagues when needed.
  • Working solely on one project, as the role involves supporting a wide range of activities.
This is a great role for you if:
  • You enjoy helping people and providing excellent customer service
  • You're organised, proactive and thrive in a varied administrative role.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are confident speaking to a range of people.
  • You take pride in keeping things organised and making sure things run smoothly to support the team.
  • You're interested in the countryside, access, community engagement or the equestrian sector
  • …you want to work in an organisation that supports you to bring your full, authentic self to work and is working really hard to be a beacon of inclusion in the equestrian sector

We're excited that you're thinking about applying to British Horse Society. To help you make the strongest impression, here are a few friendly tips:

  • AI tools can be handy, but they don't always hit the mark when it comes to the specific stuff we're looking for
  • We really want to hear your voice - your experiences, your skills and what makes you, well, you!
  • If you lean too much on AI-generated content, your application might end up sounding a bit generic - and that could hurt your chances.

So, keep it real, keep it personal and show us what you're all about.
