Job summary

Sportsmith is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Elite Performance Team at the Academy in Sheffield. You will lead collection, management and interpretation of performance data to provide insights that enhance player development, performance and availability.

You will develop dashboards and visualisations, collaborate with coaching, medical and performance staff, and help design training and rehabilitation progressions using evidence-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead collection, management and interpretation of performance data to provide insights that enhance player development, performance and availability.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards, reports and visualisations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with coaching, medical and performance staff to inform training design and rehabilitation progress.
• Lead or support gym and pitch-based athletic development sessions and testing to support academy players.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating practises and applying evidence-based approaches to performance science.
• Manage the Academy Data Analyst and volunteers to ensure high-quality support.
• Participate in CPD and pursue external CPD requirements.
• Ensure completion of mandatory training such as Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
• Oversee data governance and accurate data capture.
