Job description

Job Title: Academy Goalkeeper Coach

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Academy team as a sessional Academy Goalkeeper Coach at Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coach and support the development of players in all aspects of football, including technical, tactical, physical, psychological, social, and emotional aspects.
  2. Manage players during coaching sessions and Academy fixtures.
  3. Liaise regularly with players and parents regarding progress and development.
  4. Ensure the welfare and safety of players during coaching sessions and fixtures.
  5. Supervise players during travel to and from away fixtures.
  6. Manage and maintain all kit and equipment provided by BWFC.
  7. Compile individual player reviews and game reports weekly using the Football Intelligence Platform.
  8. Plan and deliver Player Performance Reviews and Parent/Guardian meetings twice yearly, in line with Academy guidelines.
General Responsibilities:
  • Represent the club professionally, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive image.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to BWFC policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Diversity.
  • Perform other duties relevant to the role and club objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum of a UEFA B Licence.
  • Be working towards or hold relevant age-related coaching qualifications, such as FA Youth Award Modules 1-3.
  • Be a member or plan to become a member of the FA Licensed Coaching Club.
  • Hold valid Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid (EFAiF) certifications.
  • Demonstrate customer focus, effective communication, team working, and personal effectiveness.
