Job summary

Randstad Student & Worker Support is seeking reliable Academic Note Takers to assist University of Exeter students by producing accurate handwritten notes during lectures and seminars. The role supports students with disabilities, enabling access to course content and participation in higher education.

Responsibilities include attending lectures, producing legible notes, and ensuring materials are accessible.

Qualifications

• Neat handwriting and legible notes are essential.
• Good typing skills are required to produce timely notes.
• Punctuality and reliability are important for deadlines.
• Ability to work quickly and under time restrictions.
• Strong organisational skills are needed for note-taking tasks.
• Experience with learners with learning difficulties in higher education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and legible handwritten notes for lectures, seminars and group tasks.
• Review notes at the end of lectures to ensure they are accessible and usable.
• Maintain a professional relationship with students and confidentiality with the institution’s information.
• Act in the best interests of learners while following institutional policies and Randstad procedures.
• Collaborate with Randstad to address student needs and communicate any concerns promptly.
