Job summary

Mossbourne Fobbing Academy in Thurrock is seeking an Academic Mentor to support teaching and learning across the academy. You will manage a caseload of students who need targeted help beyond the universal offer, meeting with pupils, parents and other stakeholders as required.

Working within the Pastoral Team, you will help maintain a purposeful and disciplined environment and contribute to personal development of students under the leadership of the Vice Principal.

Qualifications

• Academic Mentor will support teaching and learning across the academy.
• Caseload of students requiring additional support beyond universal offer.
• Work with parents and stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the academy.
• Help maintain a purposeful and disciplined environment.
• Provide targeted support to students to raise attainment.
• Collaborate with Heads of Year, SEND team and pastoral staff.
