Job summary

Saffery Champness invites applications for a Graduate Accounts Trainee (ACA) in Bournemouth, starting September 2027. You will study towards the ACA while gaining on-the-job experience, backed by a structured development programme and mentorship.

The three-year training contract offers tuition support and exemptions where applicable, welcoming recent graduates or career changers with no prior accounting experience. AAT exemptions may apply if eligible.

Qualifications

• 2:1 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 120 UCAS points from your top 3 A Levels or Highers (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
• AAT qualified candidates may be eligible for exemptions; if not, complete the full ACA syllabus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing financial statements, management accounts and related analysis
• Work with client financial data using a range of accounting systems and tools
• Assist with resolving day-to-day accounting queries as you gain experience, building confidence over time
• Prepare accurate, high-quality work for review by senior team members

Education

2:1 undergraduate degree (expected or obtained)

120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels/Highers

GCSE Maths and English (minimum 6/B)

AAT Level 4 qualification (optional exemptions)
