Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is seeking a skilled AC-biased Mechanical & Electric al (M&E) Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio in Leicestershire and surrounding areas. The role requires travel between client sites, first-line response to incidents, and on-call duties every fourth week.

You will diagnose faults, support multi-site operations, mentor apprentices, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while delivering excellent service to clients

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services/maintenance.
• Essential F-Gas certification.
• Desirable: 18th Edition, Test & Inspection, Unvented.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support across multiple sites.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio, ensuring top-quality service delivery and first-line response to emergencies.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems
• Diagnosing and resolving faults in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
• Providing technical support and expertise across multiple sites
• Liaising with customers to deliver outstanding service
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior engineers

Additional Information:

• This is a field-based role, requiring travel between client sites
• On-call duty required, 1 in 4 weeks
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• IT proficiency and ability to manage workload effectively,

What We're Looking For:

• Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services/maintenance
• Essential Qualifications: F-Gas
• Desirable Qualifications: 18th Edition, Test & Inspection, Unvented
• Previous experience in a similar role (retail or commercial experience preferred)
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)

£36,910 or £42,447 (depending on experience)
