Job summary

Mint Selection Ltd is recruiting an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major UK infrastructure project on a site in Aberdeen. You will own a defined section of works, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery on site with strong coordination across disciplines.

The role requires setting out, surveying, reviewing drawings and specs, and supervising site engineers and subcontractors while maintaining quality documentation and progress reporting to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Section Engineer or Site Engineer on major projects.
• Strong civil engineering knowledge.
• Experience managing teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• CSCS certification; SMSTS/SSSTS desirable.
• Qualified civil engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities for allocated section of the project.
• Oversee setting out, surveying and technical delivery of construction work.
• Supervise Site Engineers and coordinate subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection and test plans.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are met.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and resolve technical issues.
• Liaise with site management, designers and subcontractors to ensure delivery.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, quality documentation and progress reports.
