Job summary

Mercator Crewing seeks experienced AB Workboat Deckhands for offshore SOV assignments on a 4-week contract, based in Montrose, United Kingdom.

Applicants must hold VHF-SRC, Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore or MCA Master 200, Able Seafarer Deck STCW II/5, Rating STCW II/4, and STCW A-VI/1-1 to VI/6-1 with a valid seafarer medical.

Qualifications

• VHF-SRC certificate required.
• RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore or MCA Master 200.
• Able Seafarer Deck/STCW II/5.
• Rating forming part of navigational watch/STCW II/4.
• STCW A-VI/1-1: Personal survival techniques.
• STCW A-VI/1-2: Fire prevention and fire fighting.
• STCW A-VI/1-3: Elementary first aid.
• STCW A-VI/1-4: Personal safety and social responsibilities.
• STCW A-VI/2-1: Survival craft and rescue boats (not fast rescue boat).
• STCW A-VI/6-4, VI/6-1: Security awareness for seafarers with designated duties.
• Valid Unrestricted Seafarer's medical.

Boarding: 16 September & 14 October 2026

Length of contract: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
