Confidential in Cardiff is seeking an AAT Accounts Assistant to join a growing technology business. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, ongoing AAT study support, and clear progression within a collaborative finance team.

You will contribute to monthly management accounts, AP/AR processing, reconciliations, and month-end activities, while developing your career in a forward-thinking organisation with modern offices and strong transport links.

Formación

• AAT qualification or actively studying towards completion.
• Experience in Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles.
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Performing bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Monitoring cash flow and supporting cash management activities.
• Investigating and resolving financial queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity.
• Assisting with financial reporting and analysis.
• Supporting process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.

AAT Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts.
