Job summary

AAB is offering a 12-month placement in their Audit and Business Advisory team across UK offices. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in a professional services setting, developing technical tax knowledge and analytical skills with guidance from experienced professionals.

You will assist with client engagements, learn about accounting standards, and gain exposure to a broad range of industries while building commercial awareness and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Assist with audit working papers and financial statement reviews.
• Assist with testing financial controls and verifying supporting documentation.
• Help gather, organise, and analyse financial information for audit and advisory engagements.

The Opportunity

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Placement Student to join our Audit and Business Advisory team for a 12-month placement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a professional services environment, develop technical tax knowledge, and learn from experienced tax specialists. Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with a range of client assignments while developing valuable commercial, analytical and communication skills. We have exciting placement opportunities available in our Newry, Dungannon, Mallusk and Belfast offices.

Entry Requirements

• Assist the preparation of audit working papers and financial statement reviews.
• Assist with testing financial controls and verifying supporting documentation.
• Help gather, organise, and analyse financial information for audit and advisory engagements.
• Maintain accurate records, audit files, and documentation in line with professional standards.
