Job summary

AAB is inviting applications for a 12-month Placement Student to join our Audit and Business Advisory team in Dungannon, Newry, Mallusk or Belfast. This hands-on placement provides exposure to client assignments, practical experience in professional services, and mentoring from experienced professionals.

You will gain hands-on audit experience, develop accounting knowledge and analytical skills, and enjoy a collaborative environment that supports your growth and learning throughout the placement.

Qualifications

• Assist with the preparation of audit working papers and financial statement reviews.
• Assist with testing financial controls and verifying supporting documentation.
• Help gather, organise, and analyse financial information for audit and advisory engagements.
• Maintain accurate records, audit files, and documentation in line with professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet client deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to business advisory projects, providing insights and support to help clients achieve their goals.
• Develop an understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practice.

The Opportunity

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Placement Student to join our Audit and Business Advisory team for a 12-month placement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a professional services environment, develop technical tax knowledge, and learn from experienced tax specialists. Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with a range of client assignments while developing valuable commercial, analytical and communication skills. We have exciting placement opportunities available in our Newry, Dungannon, Mallusk and Belfast offices.

Entry Requirements
