Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the UK invites an engineering student to join the A350 Chief Engineer’s Team as an intern. You will help develop aircraft technologies and requirements, support design and safety activities, and work with cross-functional teams on in-service issues.

You will gain hands-on experience across Wing, Landing Gear, and Fuel systems, with flexible hours and hybrid working options based on role. Duration is 12.5 months with a start date in August 2027.

Qualifications

• Studying towards relevant Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong written and spoken English; ability to summarise complex issues clearly.
• Understanding of project management; able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Empathetic, relationship builder, reflective, and good listener.
• Able to take initiative and work with an open scope.
• Willingness to travel between European sites if required.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Chief Engineering team on product evolution of the A350 family by defining aircraft technologies and requirements.
• Attend regular team meetings and contribute to product development ideas and projects.
• Tackle a range of aircraft build and in-service issues requiring problem solving.
• Liaise with Engineering, Safety and Procurement to deliver integrated solutions.
• Help improve team processes through internal projects and develop leadership and communication skills.
