Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton (Bristol) is offering an internship for engineering students. You will join the Chief Engineering team to help evolve the A330/A340 family by proposing new aircraft technologies and liaising across departments to ensure airworthiness and performance improvements.

The role requires ongoing study in aerospace-related engineering and strong communication skills. Flexible/hybrid options may apply, and there could be travel to other Airbus sites where available.

Qualifications

• Studying towards an Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of project management principles is desirable.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Keen to build relationships and work collaboratively.
• Act proactively to meet personal and team objectives.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the Chief Engineering team involved with evolving products in the A330/A340 family.
• Liaise across multiple teams including Overall Aircraft Design, Engineering, Airworthiness, and Supply Chain.
• Support continued airworthiness and safety of the fleet.
• Understand airline operational requirements and propose design improvements.
• Help improve processes by highlighting inefficiencies in current ways of working.
• Develop technical capability and confidence in a multinational environment.
• Potential travel to other Airbus sites.

Education

Engineering degree (Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical/Systems)
