Job summary

Education Matters Group is recruiting a dedicated Pastoral Tutor to join the Tutorial & Enrichment Team at a thriving Further Education College this end August/September.

You'll deliver weekly tutorial sessions, mentor students, and work with staff to improve attendance, achievement and progression while promoting wellbeing and personal development across a diverse student cohort. A degree is desirable and UCAS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in education or pastoral settings.
• Experience with A Level students and UCAS applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, mentor and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A genuine passion for student wellbeing and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly tutorial sessions and provide guidance and mentoring to students.
• Support attendance, retention, achievement and progression within the college.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and the pastoral team to promote wellbeing.
• Assist students with applications for Higher Education and UCAS.

Education Matters Group is recruiting a dedicated Pastoral Tutor to join the Tutorial & Enrichment Team at a thriving Further Education College this end August/September.

The Role

As a Pastoral Tutor, you'll play a key role in supporting students throughout their college journey. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team, you'll help improve attendance, retention, achievement and progression while promoting student wellbeing and personal development. You'll deliver weekly tutorial sessions, provide guidance and mentoring, and support students as they prepare for their next steps, including Higher Education and UCAS applications.

• Experience supporting young people in an education or pastoral setting.
• Experience working with A Level students and supporting UCAS applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate, mentor and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds.
• A genuine passion for student wellbeing, personal development and student success.
• A degree is desirable, and previous pastoral experience is advantageous.
