New College Swindon is seeking a Criminology Lecturer to join the Sixth team on a fixed-term contract until June 2027. You will deliver Level 3 Criminology, monitor student progress and support assessments while contributing to curriculum development and inclusive learning.

The role involves developing materials and maintaining records in a collaborative environment. The position requires a relevant degree, Level 5 teaching qualification or progress toward one, and a commitment to safeguarding

• A degree in Humanities or a related subject.
• Level 5 teaching qualification, or currently working towards one.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach Criminology at Level 3.
• Understanding of coursework requirements and assessment.
• Experience in tutor groups and pastoral support.
• Good IT and presentation skills.
• Strong organisation, time management and communication.
• Ability to work in a team and build positive relationships with students.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and professional development.
• Level 2 English and Maths.

Criminology Lecturer

Contract: Fixed-term until June 2027

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about Criminology and looking for an opportunity to inspire students and develop their understanding of crime and the criminal justice system? As a Criminology Lecturer at New College Swindon, you'll join our supportive Sixth team and deliver engaging teaching on our Level 3 Applied Diploma in Criminology.You'll help students explore contemporary issues through evidence-based enquiry, while supporting their progress, assessment and development. You'll also contribute to the continued development of an ambitious and inclusive curriculum.
