Job summary

Havant & South Downs College is seeking enthusiastic Bank Lecturers to deliver inspiring A-Level teaching that challenges students to reach their potential. You will bring subject expertise to the classroom, plan and deliver lessons, and support student learning through assessment and feedback.

This hourly paid role requires a Degree in the subject and a Certificate in Education/PGCE, plus a proven teaching track record and at least two years’ experience delivering the subject to learners.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant subject.
• Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent.
• High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
• Proven track record of personal recent teaching success shown by high student achievement in the subject area
• At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students.

Responsibilities

• To ensure outstanding success and progression of all students within the relevant Department through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment.
• To engage collaboratively with all Course Managers in a culture of high expectations, high standards and mutual respect
• To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
• To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
