Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Face-to-Face Tutor to support a Post-16 learner in the Selby area, delivering high-quality 1:1 A-Level tuition 15 hours per week, usually in the home or another agreed venue (afternoons).

You will assess knowledge, plan targeted sessions, support exam preparation and access arrangements, and work with learners who may have ASD or additional needs. DBS on Update Service desirable, right to work in the UK, pay £30–£35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong A-Level subject knowledge and Post-16 teaching experience.
• Patience, adaptability and a calm approach.
• Experience supporting learners with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, personalised 1:1 A-Level tuition.
• Assess current knowledge and plan targeted sessions.
• Support exam preparation and access arrangements where required.
• Work calmly with learners who may have ASD, anxiety or additional needs.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
• Liaise with local authorities and support teams.
