Responsibilities

• Transfer patients and medical equipment using beds, chairs or trolleys as directed.
• Relocate furniture and assist in office developments as required.
• Distribute and collect linen and laundry to designated locations.
• Undertake clinical waste handling and bag changes on the A&E unit.
• Collect and document specimens for pathology and assist with audits.
• Provide exchange/transfer of portable and manifold medical gas cylinders; report faults.
• Attend to mortuary duties and support scene management as needed.
• Be an active portering team member and respond to incidents and emergencies.
