Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile AC & Refrigeration Engineer to cover London and the M25. The role focuses on maintenance, servicing and repairs of a range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across commercial properties.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and ensure high standards of health and safety. A van, fuel card and ongoing training are provided to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an AC & Refrigeration Engineer in commercial settings.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Experience with PPM, reactive maintenance, fault-finding and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on AC & refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose faults and repair compressors, chillers and controls.
• Service HVAC equipment for reliable operation across a mobile portfolio.
• Maintain accurate service records and liaise with clients.

Mobile AC & Refrigeration Engineer

London & M25

£50,000 – £55,000 per annum

A leading facilities management provider is looking to recruit an experienced Mobile AC & Refrigeration Engineer to join their established engineering team, covering a portfolio of commercial properties across London and the M25.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across a varied commercial portfolio.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs on compressors, chillers, controls, and associated systems.
• Servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Completing inspections, identifying defects, and carrying out remedial works.
• Supporting general building services maintenance, including mechanical and fabric tasks where required.
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements and site procedures.
• Maintaining accurate service records and communicating effectively with clients and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an AC & Refrigeration Engineer within commercial environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
• Experience carrying out PPM, reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs.
• A good understanding of health and safety procedures, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
• A professional, customer‑focused approach with the ability to work independently across a mobile portfolio.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas qualification or CITB J11 equivalent.
• Plus one of the following:
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in Heating and Ventilation.
  • NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in Heating and Ventilation Service and Maintenance.

Salary & Package

• £50,000 – £55,000 basic salary.
