South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting 999 – Clinical Advisors (Paramedics and Nurses) to join the Integrated Contact Centre. You will monitor live 999 calls, provide clinical oversight, and make real-time assessments to guide patient care within the NHS framework.

This role emphasizes autonomous telephone triage, decision-support use, and collaboration with Emergency Operations Centres to maintain high standards of care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Experienced and compassionate paramedics or nurses sought for 999 clinical advisor role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live 999 calls handled by Emergency Call Takers (ECTs).
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure safe and appropriate patient outcomes.
• Make real-time, dynamic clinical assessments using evidence-based decision-making.
• Provide evidence-based clinical advice and support onward referral within the NHS.
• Communicate clinical information effectively with healthcare partners to ensure seamless care.
• Contribute to achieving national ambulance standards and local performance targets.
• Participate in team meetings and monthly call audits to maintain performance.
