Job summary

Driver Hire Bedford & Huntingdon is seeking experienced 7.5t C1 HGV drivers for deliveries across Bedford, St Neots and Huntingdon. You will drive 7.5t vehicles, ensure safe, on-time deliveries and maintain professional customer interactions.

The role offers 40+ hours per week, holiday pay included (£15.01 per hour) with overtime at £16.51 after 8 hours, and potential temp-to-perm opportunities. Start times 05:00–08:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual licence with 7.5t entitlement.
• CPC and Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness for manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Previous driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive 7.5t vehicles to customers across Bedford, St Neots and Huntingdon.
• Ensure safe, compliant deliveries to a variety of sites.
• Maintain professional conduct and handle basic paperwork.
• Start times between 05:00 and 08:00, Monday to Friday.
• Commute from Bedford area and surrounding towns.

We are looking for experienced 7.5t C1 HGV truck drivers to work at a number of our prestigious customers based in and around Bedford, St Neots and Huntingdon.

The successful 7.5t C1 HGV Driver can expect:

As a HGV Driver you must:

• Full UK manual licence with 7.5t entitlement.
• Full CPC & Tacho Card.
• No more than 6pts on your Licence
• Have good customer service and good communication skills
• Be prepared for manual handling and heavy lifting tasks.
• Previous experience preferred.

HGV Driver responsibilities include:

Driving vehicles in a safe and compliant manner whilst delivering various materials and supplies to customers based all over the south of England. Deliveries vary depending on the Customer. You will be responsible for safe deliveries demonstrating professionalism at all times. Previous experience is preferred. Start time is between 0500hrs & 0800hrs start. Monday - Friday.

This position is commutable from Bedford, Ampthill, Kempston, St Neots, Huntingdon, St Ives and other areas commutable to Bedford
