Job summary

The Best Connection in Wolverhampton is recruiting a part-time 7.5T Driver for a well-established logistics client. The role offers a mix of weekday and weekend work with full training provided.

Pay rate is £14.39 per hour with overtime paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours. Duties include loading/unloading, delivering carts, cages and pallets across the UK, and train station work in Birmingham and Wolverhampton, with a driving assessment beforehand.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK 7.5T (C1) licence.
• CPC qualification is required.
• Digital Tachograph Card needed.
• Able to start early mornings and work weekends.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit with ability to load/unload vehicles.
• Complete driving assessment before starting.

Responsibilities

• Safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Delivering carts, cages and pallets to service centres UK-wide.
• Train station collections and deliveries in Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery records.
• Work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

7.5T Driver

The Best Connection Walsall is currently recruiting for a Part-Time 7.5T Driver on behalf of our well-established logistics client.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and flexible driver looking for a mix of weekday and weekend work, with full training provided.

Pay Rate

£14.39 per hour Overtime paid at time and a half after 37.5 hours worked

Working Schedule

Weekday Service Centre Deliveries

• Two working days between Monday and Thursday (flexible to suit availability)
• Start times of 8:00am or 9:00am
• Occasional Friday shifts from 8:00am

Weekend Train Station Deliveries

• Saturday: 3:00am to 11:30am
• Sunday: 7:00am to 2:30pm

Duties Include

• Safe loading and unloading of vehicles
• Delivering carts, cages, and pallets to service centres throughout the UK
• Train station collections and deliveries in Birmingham and Wolverhampton
• Completing vehicle checks and maintaining delivery records
• Working independently whilst providing excellent customer service

Full Training Provided

• One-day induction programme
• Approximately two weeks of practical training
• Ongoing support until fully competent in train-loading activities

Requirements

• Valid UK 7.5T (C1) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Comfortable with early morning starts and weekend working
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading vehicles
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for daily tasks
• Successful completion of a driving assessment before starting
