Job summary

TSR Ipswich Ltd in Southampton is seeking reliable 7.5T Truck Drivers. Deliver to residential properties, handle loads, and work day shifts with Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu patterns. Ongoing work with potential to become permanent; PAYE only.

Newly qualified drivers welcome; driver’s mate assists with deliveries. Responsibilities include planning routes for timely deliveries, performing pre/post-trip checks, securing cargo, and maintaining logs. Shifts may include early mornings or late evenings.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) and adherence to road safety regulations.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and load securing.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings/evenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes to ensure timely deliveries while complying with driving hours and safety rules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report faults.
• Secure cargo and ensure load stability throughout transit.
• Maintain delivery documents and logs per company policies.
• Communicate with dispatchers, clients, and team about schedules and delays.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company safety guidelines on every journey.
