Job summary

Pertemps Scotland Temps is hiring a 7.5T Driver for our Street Cleaning Team in Edinburgh. This hands-on role supports environmental services by collecting bulky household items and helping keep local communities clean and safe.

Location: EH14 2TF. Hours: Mon–Fri early shift with a 45 minute unpaid break. Pay: £14.51 per hour. Temporary ongoing work with duties including vehicle checks, safe loading, and public interaction.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with C1 category.
• CPC qualification card and Tacho card.
• Experience operating larger vehicles.
• Good health and safety awareness and physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5-ton vehicle as part of the bulk uplift service.
• Collect bulky household items (furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc.).
• Work with the crew to lift, load, and remove items from properties.
• Follow planned routes and schedules efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report issues.
• Interact with the public professionally when required.
• Maintain excellent safety standards at all times.

Pertemps are currently recruiting 7.5T Drivers to join our clients Street Cleaning Team in Edinburgh. This is a hands-on role where youll support environmental services by collecting bulky household items and helping keep local communities clean and safe.

Location: EH14 2TF

Hours: Monday to Friday 06.45 14.42with 45 minute unpaid break

Pay: £14.51 per hour

Duration: Temporary ongoing work

The 7.5T driver will:

• Driving a 7.5-ton vehicle as part of the bulk uplift service
• Collecting bulky household items (furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc.)
• Working with the crew to safely lift, load, and remove items from properties
• Following planned routes and schedules efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
• Interacting with the public professionally when required
• Maintaining excellent safety standards at all times

The 7.5T driver requires:

• Valid UK driving licence with C1 category
• CPC qualification card and Tacho card
• Experience operating larger vehicles
• Good health & safety awareness
• Team player with good communication skills
• Physical fitness regular lifting and manual handling is part of the role
