Job summary

Connect2Dorset is recruiting 7.5T Drivers to join Dorset Council's Waste & Recycling team on an ongoing temporary basis. You will drive 7.5T vehicles on designated waste and recycling routes and perform daily vehicle safety checks.

The role requires a valid 7.5T license, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with no more than 6 points. You will work Monday to Friday, 06:00AM-14:00PM, delivering a professional and safe service to local communities.

Qualifications

• Valid 7.5T license and Driver CPC are essential.
• Digital Tachograph Card and clean licence (≤6 points).
• Reliable, safety‑minded with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive 7.5T vehicles on waste and recycling routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Complete collections safely and efficiently.
• Work with the team to deliver a high level of service.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00AM-14:00PM (37 hours)

• Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently
• Working as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to local communities
• Communicating professionally with members of the public when required

What we're looking for

• Valid 7.5T License, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence
• A reliable and positive attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A strong commitment to working safely
