IMMEDIATE 7.5T / DELIVERY DRIVER VACANCIES ONGOING CONTRACT

Our client, a leading logistics supplier within the public sector, is seeking professional 7.5 Tonne delivery drivers to join their team on a temp-to-permanent basis. Drivers are customer-facing and act as ambassadors for our client. As a multi-drop driver, you will be expected to deliver a range of parcels & goods to commercial destinations. The role includes route planning, completion of paperwork, parcel & vehicle checks, making deliveries/collections, and providing excellent customer service. Work professionally and efficiently to deliver service in accordance with relevant company policies.

Job Duties

Working hours: 7am start - approximately 3:45pm finish, Monday to Friday

Deliveries: 7.5 Tonne Multidrop deliveries, mostly local and South East runs

• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, report faults to Line Manager, and ensure the allocated vehicle is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition. Document checks and report faults immediately.
• Keep the 7.5T vehicle clean and tidy, used solely for business purposes.
• Assist in loading orders onto the vehicle, ensuring payload limits are adhered to and goods are safely loaded for delivery.
• Comply fully with the requirements of the Company Operators Licence.
• Complete all scheduled deliveries in a timely manner, unloading and delivering to final destinations as requested.
• Ensure all Proof Of Delivery (POD) paperwork is correct and authorized.
• Drive in a fuel-efficient and safe manner, contributing to cost savings and safety.

Minimum Requirements

• 7.5T Driving Licence
• Over the age of 21
• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience
• No more than 6 points on driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
