Workchain in Portbury is seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to support deliveries from its Portbury operation. This hands-on role involves local drops, occasional longer routes and safe movement of catering supplies.

You will drive the vehicle safely, complete deliveries on time, perform handball loading/unloading, check paperwork, and maintain site safety standards. A valid 7.5-tonne licence and practical delivery experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid licence to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle
• Prior commercial driving experience desirable
• Experience with handball deliveries
• Able to handle both local drops and longer routes
• Understanding of safe loading/unloading practices
• Reliable, punctual and well-organised
• Professional manner and clear communication
• Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules
• Physically able to handle goods

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and responsibly
• Complete local and long-distance deliveries on schedule
• Carry out handball loading and unloading of goods
• Check delivery paperwork and obtain signatures where required
• Help secure goods correctly before departure
• Complete routine vehicle checks and report defects
• Provide professional service at delivery locations
• Follow road safety, site safety and company procedures
