Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 driving licence or entitlement for 7.5 tonne vehicle
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and digital tachograph card where required
• Experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle preferred
• Good knowledge of Wakefield and surrounding areas
• Safe, careful and responsible driving
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle safely and responsibly
• Complete deliveries to customers, sites and other locations
• Load, secure and unload goods carefully
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately
• Plan routes effectively and meet delivery times
• Represent the business professionally with customers and site contacts
• Follow all road transport and health & safety procedures
