Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced 7.5 tonne driver for a days-based temporary role in Lutterworth. You will support general haulage and deliveries from the depot, with a focus on safety and professional service.

You will have a valid UK driving licence with C1, Driver CPC and tachograph card, plus route planning and customer-facing duties. Shift patterns are days, temp assignment, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with C1 entitlement.
• Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card.
• Experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and route planning.
• Safe, responsible and punctual approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle delivery paperwork accurately.
• ADR awareness or qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Complete general haulage deliveries and collections.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts.
• Secure goods and check load documentation.
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery.
• Plan routes and manage time effectively.
• Communicate professionally with customers and transport team.
• Follow all road safety, transport and company procedures.
