7.5 Tonne HGV Driver (Full-Time, Permanent)

Plus, possible 18 Ton drivers (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Southeast of England (Primary area) with long-distance and European travel.

Salary & Earnings

Annual Range: £30,000.00 – £45,000.00 OTE (On-Target Earnings) per year.
Basic Pay: £26,900 (includes performance bonus).

Higher Earning Potential: Drivers willing to drive 18-tonne lorries, take on nights out, and travel to Europe and Ireland can achieve the upper salary end (£45,000).

Key Job Requirements & Duties
  • Primary Duty: Driving the 7.5-tonne lorry for deliveries.
  • Operational Duties: Loading, checking, and securing various goods (mostly pallets, crates, general haulage) onto and off the lorry.
  • Customer Service: Engaging positively with clients during deliveries.
Work Pattern & Hours
  • Shift Pattern: No standard shift; depends on customer requirements.
  • Start Times: Normally between 06:00 and 09:00, but can vary.
  • Average Hours: Most drivers average 40–48 hours per week.
  • Average Deliveries: 1 to 5 deliveries per day.
  • Flexibility: Drivers willing to work overtime, nights out, and weekends will be the highest earners.

Driver Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of HGV Driving experience (required).
  • Age: Must be over 25 years old.
  • Licence: No more than 6 points on the licence.
  • Convictions: No conviction codes (e.g., BA, CD, DD, DR, DG, TT99, MR) in the last 5 years.
  • Medical: Any medical conditions requiring DVLA submission must be declared and cleared by the company's insurers.
  • Other: Must not have had vehicle insurance refused in the last 5 years; must have no unspent convictions.
Opportunity for 18‑Tonne Drivers

Drivers with the ability to operate 18‑tonne vehicles will receive an approximate £1,500 increase in their basic pay.
