Job summary

Driver Hire Preston are recruiting a reliable 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver for a permanent, full-time role based in Fleetwood, Lancashire. You will join a food distribution company delivering to local caterers, restaurants, and hospitality businesses with regular weekday hours.

Hours are 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, starting immediately. You will drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle (Category C1), unload orders, check deliveries and provide friendly, professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement or higher.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Be aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent punctuality and time management.

Responsibilities

Driver Hire Preston are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join a successful and well-established food distribution company based in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

Our client is a leading supplier of chilled and frozen food products to restaurants, cafés, hotels and other catering businesses across the local area.

They are looking to recruit a driver for a permanent, full-time position, offering consistent weekday work and the opportunity to become part of a busy and friendly delivery operation.

The Role

As a 7.5 tonne delivery driver, you'll be responsible for delivering food products to a variety of local customers, helping ensure their orders arrive safely, correctly and on time.

Your typical working day will involve:

• Making local deliveries to catering and hospitality businesses.
• Driving a 7.5 tonne (Category C1) vehicle.
• Delivering chilled and frozen food products.
• Unloading orders at customer premises.
• Checking deliveries and ensuring orders are handled with care.
• Building positive relationships with customers through friendly, professional service.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and following safe driving practices.
• Working efficiently to complete your delivery schedule.

All vehicles are pre-loaded before departure, allowing you to concentrate on completing your deliveries. Please be aware that the position involves regular manual handling and unloading of goods, so you must be physically capable of carrying out these duties.

What You'll Need

We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking and enjoys being out on the road while providing a great service to customers.
