Job summary

Driver Hire Preston are recruiting a reliable 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join a well‑established food distribution company based in Fleetwood, Lancashire. This is a permanent, full‑time role with regular Monday to Friday work with local deliveries.

You will drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle, deliver chilled and frozen products to catering businesses, unload orders, and check deliveries for accuracy. Applicants must have Cat C1, Digital Tachograph Card, be 25 or over, and possess good customer service

Our client is a leading supplier of chilled and frozen food products to restaurants, cafés, hotels and other catering businesses across the local area.

They are looking to recruit a driver for a permanent, full-time position, offering consistent weekday work and the opportunity to become part of a busy and friendly delivery operation.

The Role

As a 7.5 tonne delivery driver, you’ll be responsible for delivering food products to a variety of local customers, helping ensure their orders arrive safely, correctly and on time.

Your typical working day will involve:

• Making local deliveries to catering and hospitality businesses.
• Driving a 7.5 tonne (Category C1) vehicle.
• Delivering chilled and frozen food products.
• Unloading orders at customer premises.
• Checking deliveries and ensuring orders are handled with care.
• Building positive relationships with customers through friendly, professional service.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and following safe driving practices.
• Working efficiently to complete your delivery schedule.

All vehicles are pre-loaded before departure, allowing you to concentrate on completing your deliveries. Please be aware that the position involves regular manual handling and unloading of goods, so you must be physically capable of carrying out these duties.

Hours, Pay & Employment

• £14.80 per hour PAYE
• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Based in Fleetwood

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking and enjoys being out on the road while providing a great service to customers.
