Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join our client in Glasgow. Earn £14.00 - £15.00 per hour with guaranteed 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekly pay and full training provided.

You will operate a 7.5 Tonne vehicle for multi-drop deliveries across Scotland, complete daily vehicle checks, load and unload, and maintain accurate delivery records while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence.
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ability to pass a DS/DBS background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a 7.5 Tonne vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries.
• Loading and unloading boxes and packages for onward delivery.
• Loading the vehicle for the following day's deliveries.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects or issues.
• Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
• Maintaining accurate delivery and compliance records.
• Communicating effectively with depot and delivery teams.
• Providing excellent customer service at all times.

7.5 TONNE DELIVERY DRIVER – Glasgow

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join our well-established client based in Glasgow.

Earn £14.00 - £15.00 per hour | Guaranteed 50 Hours' Pay Per Week | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Long-Term Work | Immediate Starts Available | Full Training Provided

Join one of Glasgow's leading logistics operations and play a vital role in keeping deliveries moving across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected logistics business offering long-term stability within a supportive and professional transport environment.

Even if you finish your route early, you will still be paid for a guaranteed minimum of 50 hours per week.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Category C1 Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Home Delivery Driver or Delivery Driver.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Safely operating a 7.5 Tonne vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries
• Loading and unloading boxes and packages for onward delivery
• Loading the vehicle for the following day's deliveries
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects or issues
• Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely
• Maintaining accurate delivery and compliance records
• Communicating effectively with depot and delivery teams
• Following food hygiene and temperature control regulations when transporting food
• Providing excellent customer service at all times

Essential Skills

• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C1 vehicles
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements
• Good communication and English language skills
• A reliable, professional and punctual attitude
• A good understanding of road traffic legislation and road safety
• The ability to pass a DS/DBS background check

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience would be advantageous
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be beneficial
• Previous food delivery or temperature-controlled delivery experience would be desirable
