Job summary

Driver Hire Oxford is looking for a reliable 7.5t Driver to join our busy waste removal team in Oxford. The role is physical and outdoors, involving daily operation of a 7.5 tonne vehicle and manual handling.

Pay is £15.82 per hour, with immediate starts available. You will carry out vehicle checks, complete paperwork, and liaise with site managers and customers to maintain safe, compliant waste operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 licence (7.5 tonne).
• Driver CPC qualification card (DQC).
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Good level of physical fitness - manual handling involved.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for bulk waste collection and transportation.
• Load and unload waste by hand and with equipment.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and report defects.
• Assist with manual handling and segregation of waste materials.
• Ensure waste is handled, transported and disposed of per regulations and duty of care.
• Complete paperwork including waste transfer notes and consignment notes.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Liaise with site managers, customers and teammates professionally.

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working 7.5t Driver to join a busy waste removal team. This is a physical, hands-on role that requires someone who is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and is confident operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the collection and transportation of bulk waste materials
• Loading and unloading waste by hand and using appropriate equipment
• Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and defect reporting in line with legal requirements
• Assisting with the manual handling and segregation of waste materials
• Ensuring all waste is handled, transported and disposed of in accordance with current waste regulations and duty of care legislation
• Completing relevant paperwork including waste transfer notes and consignment notes
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times
• Liaising with site managers, customers and team members professionally
