Job summary

Driver Hire Oxford is seeking a reliable 7.5t Driver to join a busy waste removal team. The role is outdoor, physical and requires operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle daily.

Immediate starts available. You will perform vehicle checks, load/unload waste, complete paperwork and liaise with site managers and customers. A valid C1 licence and tachograph card are essential. Excellent time management, teamwork and safety awareness are important to maintain a compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 licence (7.5 tonne)
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Good level of physical fitness — manual handling involved
• Strong time management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the collection and transportation of bulk waste materials
• Loading and unloading waste by hand and using appropriate equipment
• Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and defect reporting in line with legal requirements
• Assisting with the manual handling and segregation of waste materials
• Ensuring all waste is handled, transported and disposed of in accordance with current waste regulations and duty of care legislation
• Completing relevant paperwork including waste transfer notes and consignment notes
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times
• Liaising with site managers, customers and team members professionally
