Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for 7.5 Tonne Van Drivers to support a leading food distribution company in Bicester on an ad hoc basis. Pay is £14.50 per hour with a minimum 8-hour shift guarantee and early start times around 4am.

You will load the van, make multi-drop deliveries to food service and hospitality customers, and provide friendly customer service while keeping the vehicle in good condition. Previous 7.5t van experience and a valid CPC, DigiCard, and licence are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Cat C1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid CPC card is required.
• Valid DigiCard is required.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne van is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• Reliable, flexible, and positive approach to work.
• Willingness to work on an ad hoc basis as shifts become available.

Responsibilities

• Load the van and ensure deliveries are safely secured.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries to food service and hospitality customers.
• Provide a professional and friendly service at every delivery.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
• Handle and lift products up to 25kg.

The role:

As part of the delivery team, you will play an important role in keeping customers stocked with fresh food and hospitality supplies. Your duties will include:

• Loading your van and ensuring deliveries are safely secured.
• Completing multi-drop deliveries to food service and hospitality customers.
• Providing a professional and friendly service at every delivery.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
• Handling and lifting products weighing up to 25kg.

Requirements for the role:

• A full UK cat C1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
• A valid CPC card
• A Valid digicard
• Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne van with confidence.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• A reliable, flexible, and positive approach to work.
• Good communication skills and excellent customer service.
• A willingness to work on an ad hoc basis as shifts become available.
