Job summary

DPD is seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to operate a local route from Preston, delivering parcels with precision and a focus on service quality.

You will navigate a route with around 40–50 stops daily, using Saturn handheld devices and working as the face of the DPD experience. A CPC/DQC accredited licence and some driving experience help you hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience with 7.5 Tonne vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes with 40–50 stops daily.
• Use Saturn handheld devices for deliveries and route tracking.
• Provide friendly customer service and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
• Load and unload parcels using sack barrows and hand trucks safely.

With around 40 - 50 stops a day, you’ll be the ultimate problem-solver, navigating your community and making life easier for our customers. • Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You’ll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It’s basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
• The Main Character Energy: You’re the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it’s a quick "hello" or a helpful drop-off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
• The Hustle: You’ll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you're on the move.
