Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. You’ll own a local route with 40–50 stops daily, ensuring on-time deliveries and a high standard of service using Saturn handheld devices.

This role offers a Monday–Friday workweek, a starting window of 07:00–08:30, and a pay of £16.05 per hour plus enhanced overtime. We promote from within and support your wellness with Unum Help@Hand and Vitality at Work.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience with 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable and respectful in fast-paced environments.
• Physically active with lifting involved in the job.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes with 40–50 stops per day.
• Use Saturn handheld devices for deliveries and tracking progress.
• Provide a friendly, helpful customer experience on every drop-off.
• Load and unload parcels using appropriate equipment and follow safety protocols.

The Role

We’re looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. You aren’t just moving boxes; you’re the final boss of the delivery game, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with 10/10 service. With around 40 - 50 stops a day, you’ll be the ultimate problem-solver, navigating your community and making life easier for our customers.Your role is vital in providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers.

The Role Breakdown

• Drive the Vibe: Get behind the wheel of a 7.5 Tonne vehicle. You’ll be cruising local routes, keeping it safe, professional, and efficient.
• Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You’ll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It’s basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
• The Main Character Energy: You’re the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it’s a quick "hello" or a helpful drop-off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
• The Hustle: You’ll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you’re on the move.
