Job summary

DPD UK in Cardiff is looking for a reliable, tech-savvy 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. You’ll take ownership of a designated local route with around 40–50 stops each day, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with top-notch service.

You’ll work with Saturn handheld devices, be the friendly face of DPD, and handle loading with safe lifting. This is a role in a sustainability-focused company with clear paths for growth.

Qualifications

A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
Professional, approachable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Physically active and comfortable with lifting involved in the job.
Care about doing a good job and treating customers and colleagues with respect.

Responsibilities

Drive and own a designated local route with 40–50 stops per day.
Use Saturn handheld devices to manage deliveries and track progress.
Be the friendly face customers see and ensure high-quality service.
Load and unload parcels using appropriate equipment safely.

The Role

We’re looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. You aren’t just moving boxes; you’re the final boss of the delivery game, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with 10/10 service. With around 40 - 50 stops a day, you’ll be the ultimate problem-solver, navigating your community and making life easier for our customers. Your role is vital in providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers.

The Role Breakdown

Drive the Vibe: Get behind the wheel of a 7.5 Tonne vehicle. You’ll be cruising local routes, keeping it safe, professional, and efficient.
Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You’ll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It’s basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
The Main Character Energy: You’re the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it’s a quick \"hello\" or a helpful drop-off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
The Hustle: You’ll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you're on the move.
