Job summary

DPD Group UK in Cardiff is seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will manage local routes with 40–50 stops daily, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries while delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll use Saturn handheld devices for tracking, handle loading and unloading with basic equipment, and work Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:15. A valid C1 licence and CPC are required, and we promote from within.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and CPC (DQC) accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months experience driving 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Physically active and able to lift.
• Professional, approachable, customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Drive 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes with safety and efficiency.
• Use Saturn handheld devices for tracking deliveries.
• Load and unload parcels using sacks and hand trucks.
• Provide friendly customer service during drop-offs.

The Role

We're looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. You aren't just moving boxes; you're the final boss of the delivery game, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with 10/10 service. With around 40 - 50 stops a day, you'll be the ultimate problem-solver, navigating your community and making life easier for our customers. Your role is vital in providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers.

• Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You'll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It's basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
• The Main Character Energy: You're the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it's a quick "hello" or a helpful drop-off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
• The Hustle: You'll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you're on the move.
