Job summary

NHS Professionals invites applicants for the Healthcare Support Worker Development programme at Torbay Hospital and surrounding areas in Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. You will train on-the-job, gain the Car e Certificate, and work across earlies, lates and nights over six months, with weekly pay and paid leave.

After completion, you can work flexibly across partner Trusts and progress within the NHS family with dedicated mentorship and supervision.

Qualifications

• Basic English and Maths skills are required.
• 3 months healthcare experience within the last 2 years.
• Over 18 years old and willing to work across earlies, lates and nights.
• CV updated to reflect relevant healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out clinical procedures/tasks as required.
• Monitor effects of medications as directed by local policy.
• Obtain and test samples and other specimens.
• Assist in discharge process and care of wounds.
• Check pain levels and request pain relief as needed.
• Prepare for procedures and maintain a clean clinical environment.
