Job summary

Benham Precision Engineering is seeking a Production Engineer to oversee high-tolerance machining on 5-axis machines, with emphasis on complex milling. The role suits an experienced CNC programmer or someone progressing into this field, focussed on delivering quality, cost and delivery targets.

You will work closely with manufacturing teams, apply lean practices and strive for lights-out capability, with training available for Mazak and Mastercam as needed.

Qualifications

• Experienced CNC Milling Programmer (5-axis) with capability to program and optimise complex parts.
• Strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing and drawing interpretation.
• Experience in NPI and Lean Manufacturing to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering solutions using online and offline CNC programming.
• Provide tooling and fixtures to aid manufacture.
• Reduce manufacturing costs by reviewing CNC programs and methods.
• Collaborate with Senior Production Engineer to improve production techniques.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing practices and promote continuous improvement.
• Support manufacturing production team as required.
