Pardoe Wray, a well-established MSP in the North East, is seeking a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join its growing team. You will resolve complex infrastructure, networking and cloud issues and lead projects such as migrations and cloud deployments.

You will manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments, work with VMware/Hyper-V, and apply strong security and automation practices. A supportive, technical culture with ongoing training awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and cloud infrastructure.
• Administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware and/or Hyper‑V).
• Networking and security fundamentals including DNS, VPNs, firewalls.
• Backup/DR planning with solutions like Veeam.
• Project delivery for infrastructure changes and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line IT support for complex infrastructure, networking and cloud issues.
• Own technical projects including migrations, upgrades and cloud deployments.
• Support and manage Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Work with virtualization, networking, firewalls and cyber security solutions.
• Act as escalation point for 1st/2nd Line Engineers and mentor juniors.
• Identify opportunities to improve client environments with automation and AI.

We're working with a well-established, growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the North East that's looking to strengthen its technical team with an experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing 3rd Line technical support, resolving complex infrastructure, networking and cloud-related issues.
• Taking ownership of technical projects, including migrations, infrastructure upgrades and cloud deployments.
• Supporting and managing Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Working with virtualisation technologies, networking, firewalls and cyber security solutions.
• Acting as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Identifying opportunities to improve client environments through automation, AI and new technologies.

What We're Looking For

• Microsoft 365 & Azure – Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online and cloud infrastructure.
• Windows Server & Active Directory – administration, troubleshooting and infrastructure management.
• Virtualisation – VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Networking & Security – DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls and network troubleshooting.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery – experience with solutions such as Veeam.
• Project Delivery – experience implementing infrastructure changes, migrations and technical improvements.

Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Copilot, automation or AI technologies would be particularly interesting.
