Job summary

Trust Systems Ltd in Farnborough is seeking a Senior Infrastructure professional to join our on-site team. You will act as the final escalation point for complex incidents, manage servers and virtualization platforms, plan migrations, and mentor junior staff. A background in MSP or corporate IT and BPSS/SC checks are required.

You will work five days a week on-site, driving continuous improvement and contributing to security and networking strategies within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and hosting platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 11, VMware, Hyper-V and Nutanix support and administration.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies and Intune.
• Solid background of Cyber Security and patching fundamentals (experience of CrowdStrike desired).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Complex Troubleshooting: Act as the final internal escalation point for severe or recurring incidents.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain, upgrade, and secure servers, virtualization platforms, storage arrays, and cloud environments.
• Project Delivery: Plan, design, and implement technical changes and system migrations.
• Mentorship & Documentation: Provide technical guidance to junior staff and write SOPs or knowledge base articles.
• Experience: Proven history in a tier-3 or senior infrastructure role within an MSP or corporate IT setting.

Job Overview

• Complex Troubleshooting: Act as the final internal escalation point for severe or recurring incidents that 1st and 2nd line teams cannot fix, performing root cause analysis
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain, upgrade, and secure servers, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), storage arrays, and cloud environments
• Project Delivery: Plan, design, and implement technical changes and system migrations
• Mentorship & Documentation: Provide technical guidance to junior support staff and write clear standard operating procedures or knowledge base articles
• Experience: Proven history in a tier-3 or senior infrastructure role within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or internal corporate IT setting

The Successful Applicant

Due to the nature of our client, you will need to pass a background check to BPSS and SC Standard. Applicants that do not meet this requirement cannot be progressed.

This is a fully on-site role, 5 days per week Mon-Fri. A valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
