Job summary

Tektora Limited is seeking a DV-cleared 3rd line Storage and PKI Engineer to work on a high-security government account in Hampshire. The role involves robust storage and PKI support within a change-controlled environment, with occasional travel to other sites.

You will engage in incident triage, backup/storage maintenance, and readiness checks for new releases, while evolving skills in cloud storage and PKI delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with storage solutions such as Dell Avamar/Data Domain.
• Experience with PKI technologies (Microsoft/Thales).
• Cloud storage infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 2nd line escalations and perform daily checks.
• Maintain and support the PKI solution.
• Travel to other customer sites several days a month for PKI/storage activities.
• Maintain backup and storage solutions and report to Operations Lead.
• Execute planned activities via Change Management process.
• Monitor systems with Event Management tooling and handle incidents.
• Triages incidents and escalates with Service Management.
• Prepare readiness assessments for new releases entering service.

Location: Hampshire - Basingstoke, 5 days per week on customer site, with periodic travel to other customer sites
Working Pattern: Shift working, 0700-1500 and 1100-1900 on a rotating pattern
Type: Contract, outside IR35

Tektora are supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider who are looking to speak with DV Cleared 3rd Line Storage and PKI Engineers for a contract opportunity supporting a high profile user community on a high level government account.

This role would suit someone with strong storage and public key infrastructure support experience who is comfortable within a change-controlled secure environment and is looking to develop further across cloud storage and PKI delivery.

The Role

You will be involved in:

• Responding to escalations from 2nd Line and completing daily checks
• Maintaining and supporting the PKI solution
• Attending PKI activities, requiring travel to other sites several days a month
• Maintaining and supporting the backup and storage solution, providing timely updates to the Operations Lead
• Carrying out planned activities through a Change Management process
• Monitoring the system using Event Management tooling and responding to incidents through the Incident process
• Triaging incidents and escalating through the Service Management team
• Carrying out readiness assessments for new releases entering service from the Engineering team
• Producing and maintaining documentation such as work instructions and patching schedules

Key Experience Required

• UK Sole National with active DV Clearance
• Storage solutions experience, for example Dell Avamar and Data Domain
• Public key technologies, for example Microsoft or Thales
• Cloud infrastructure storage experience
• VMware cloud technologies
• Willing to work a rotating shift pattern and travel to other customer sites
• ITSM tooling and processes
• Server administration, for example Microsoft Windows Server
• Event management tooling such as SCOM, use of rather than administration
• VMware vCenter, use of rather than administration
