This role provides technical support and managed services to our customers through the use of Data Services technologies, 24x7x365 days a year. By using market leading products and applying BTs process, quality and intellectual property, we provide our customers with services to facilitate their objectives through the power of communication.

The role requires a skilled technical engineer who is an innovative, engaging, driven individual and has a proven record of achievement.

What you’ll be doing
1. Utilising experience and evolving technical ability to resolve technical incidents, service requests, apply complex changes or problems relating to data networks
2. Escalating and managing incidents and requests to vendors in a timely fashion, collaborating with all BT business units to bring about timely resolution of technical issues
3. Performing a SME role on a specific client and coaching colleagues in the team
4. Development of training, tools, and processes to ensure teams increase and develop technical capability
5. Undertaking personal training and development in line with departmental needs and in line with a Personal Development Plan as agreed with Line Manager

What we would like to see on your CV
1. Excellent years working within a service operations environment as a highly skilled technical engineer. This will include Secure and Blue Light clients
2. Excellent working knowledge of one of the following Junos, Cisco XE & XR, Dark Fibre, DWDM & DMVPN
3. You'll have highly developed organisation, prioritisation, communication (written and verbal), tenacity and ownership skills
4. Proven stakeholder management who can interact with both internal teams as well as direct communication with the client
5. The successful candidate must able to obtain Security Clearance (SC), which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
