Job summary

DCS Group, based in Banbury, seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to act as the highest level of technical escalation for infrastructure issues. You will manage servers, networks, virtualization, storage, security and cloud environments, while supporting projects and mentoring the IT team.

With 5+ years in infrastructure, you will tackle complex incidents, ensure resilience and drive improvements across the group’s IT landscape.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' infrastructure / systems engineering experience.
• Strong Windows Server and VMware experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes / Docker.
• Strong networking knowledge including routing, switching, firewalls and VPN.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of storage, backup and disaster recovery.
• Strong security awareness and experience with patching and vulnerability management.
• PowerShell or scripting experience would be beneficial.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and stakeholder skills.

• Act as the 3rd line escalation point for 1st and 2nd line support.
• Support infrastructure projects, migrations and upgrades.
• Work with external IT suppliers and technology partners.
• Mentor and support IT engineers across the team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you'll act as the highest level of technical escalation for infrastructure-related issues and take a hands-on role across servers, networks, virtualisation, storage, security and cloud environments.

You will also support infrastructure projects, improve resilience and performance, and help develop the wider IT support team.

About You

You'll have strong hands-on infrastructure experience and be confident troubleshooting complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
